Cranberry - Raisin Stuffing

INGREDIENTS:

1 box (12 oz.) Mrs. Cubbison’s Seasoned Dressing
1 cup of raisins
1 tbsp. ground cinammon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 1/2 cups chopped onions
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
1 bag (12 ounces) fresh, washed, picked through, coarsely chopped, or sweetened dried cranberries
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups of chicken broth

PROCEDURE:

1. In a large bowl, add Mrs. Cubbison’s Seasoned Dressing. Set aside.
2. Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add onion. Cook and stir until tender (about 10 minutes). Add sage. Cook for 1 more minute.
3. In a medium bowl, toss cranberries with sugar. Set aside.
4. Add onion mixture, sugared cranberries, raisins, and ground cinammon to Mrs. Cubbison’s Seasoned Dressing. Mix well.
5. Pour 2 cups chicken broth over Mrs. Cubbison’s Dressing mixture. Mix until evenly moistened. *If cooking stuffing outside of the turkey, use 2 cups chicken broth and back, covered at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes or until heated through.
