All-Natural Green Bean Casserole

1 pound; Green Beans, frozen, cut

2 cups; Mushrooms, sliced thin

4 Tablespoons; Butter, unsalted

2 each; Garlic Cloves, minced

6 Tablespoons; Flour, all-purpose

1 cup; Chicken broth

1 cup; Half & Half, cream

2 teaspoons; Sea Salt, freshly ground

1 teaspoon; Black Pepper, freshly ground

1 cup; Mrs. Cubbison's Crispy Onions


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Thaw green beans, rinse and drain.
  2. In a dutch oven melt butter over medium heat; add mushrooms, saute 2 minutes; add garlic, saute 1 minute; add flour, stir until well bended.
  3. Slowly stirring, add chicken stock; add half & half; continue cooking while stirring until cream sauce thickens.
  4. Add green beans, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup Mrs. Cubbison's Crispy Onions; toss together and remove to casserole dish.
  5. Top evenly with remaining Mrs. Cubbison's Crispy Onions; place in oven for 15 minutes; remove from oven and serve.
